When is Easter Camp ‘24?

Easter Camp runs from 6pm Thursday 28th to 3pm Sunday 31st March 2024.

Where is Easter Camp ‘24?

Easter Camp ‘24 is happening at Christian Youth Camps Inc (CYC) – 148 Waingaro Road, Ngāruawāhia.

Who is Easter Camp ‘24 for?

Easter Camp ‘24 is for high school aged youth! If you’re 12-19 years old (or in years 9-13 at school) — we’d love to have you!

Do I have to be part of a youth group to attend?

We are a community of local churches and we would love to see you connected into a church in your area! If you’re not currently in a youth group, that doesn’t stop you from coming to Easter Camp ’24!

What should I bring to Easter Camp ‘24?

• Bedding - fitted sheet, pillow, sleeping bag or blankets.

• Clothes & Old clothes - warm for cold weather

• Pyjamas

• Towels - we recommend at least 2

• Togs

• Soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush (and all your other usual toiletries)

• Insect repellent Sunscreen, hat, rain jacket

• Shoes - Closed toe shoe or gumboots At least one pair suitable for outdoor activities.

• Plastic bag for wet/dirty clothes

• Spending money for canteen – if possible, please pay in advance with registration.

• Bible and notebook (If you have one) – if you don’t have a bible that’s totally okay, we can hook you up with one at camp!

*Optional: Masks and sanitiser – we will have plenty of sanitiser at camp but if you want your own that’s cool too!

**Please DON’T BRING cigarettes/vapes, matches, alcohol, illegal drugs, knives or weapons of any kind.

Once I’m on site, where do I sleep?

You’ll be in a cabin with 8-12 friends/new friends! At Christian Youth Camps there are plenty of cabins that you’ll get to make your own for the weekend! You will be pre-assigned cabins (Guys and Girls separate) so when you get here, you’ll get sent to where you are staying for the weekend.

Can I leave CYC (EC’24) once I’m on site?

No, not really. All campers must stay on site at all times unless they have an approved Leave Pass. Leave passes must be pre-approved and will allow you to either arrive late or leave during camp. This pass must be approved be the Easter Camp team.

What if I’m feeling sick prior to Easter Camp ‘24?

If you are sick in any way, please do not come to camp. You will possibly be putting the whole camp at risk.

If you are showing symptoms similar to Covid-19 or any cold in the week before camp, please get a negative Covid test result before attending.
